Moycullen CCE have organised a St. Patrick's night concert in The Forge,
Moycullen at 8.30pm to launch a CD which the young musicians in our Banjo
class have just produced. The concert is free and we have lots of local
musicians from our branch with some special guests and it promises to
be a great session.
The idea for this recording came to me when I realised that we had twenty-eight
banjo players learning with Moycullen Comhaltas. When I first started
teaching locally, I had three students! It has been a joy to witness the
brach going from strength to strength. The aim of the album was to encapsulate
the talent of the musician’s learning with our branch of Comhaltas. This
album is dedicated to the students themselves that worked hard on their
tracks to get them studio ready. Tá súil agam go mbainfidh sibh taitneamh
as an gceol! Sabhbh Ní Fháthart
